Our physiotherapist
Tran Nguyen

Hi there! I’m Tran Nguyen, and I graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. My journey into the world of neurology began over a decade ago when I was a fourth-year physiotherapy student at Shenton Park Hospital. I was amazed by the senior therapists who worked their magic in stroke rehab, encouraging people to walk again. This experience sparked a lifelong passion in me.
Since then, I’ve seized every opportunity to gain experience in this field. Over the years, I’ve worked with people facing various neurological conditions like Parkinson’s, stroke, Guillain-Barré Syndrome and so on. Each case has taught me something new and deepened my commitment.
Working closely with individuals in their homes has always felt like the perfect fit for me. I find joy not only in helping my clients but also in connecting with their families, who are the unsung heroes in health challenges. I understand that people are not just their conditions. My focus is on building trust with my clients, listening to and understanding their goals, and connecting with their background, family dynamics, and past experiences to understand where they come from. I work with their beliefs and goals and support their families in their caring roles.
During my maternity leave with my first child, I began a Graduate Certificate in Neurology at Flinders University. One of the most rewarding moments in my career was reuniting with a gentleman who had suffered a severe stroke. Ten years after our initial meeting, we worked together again in the community and achieved remarkable progress. Even with a chronic stroke, we managed to see improvements, like being able to get on and off the floor independently, providing crucial safety in case of a fall.
Neurology feels like home to me, and my passion keeps growing. I’m committed to making a difference, no matter how small. When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my little family. You might also find me strolling through the bush or lost in a good book.
Being fluent in both Vietnamese and English helps me connect with a diverse range of clients. I understand the unique challenges that different cultures face living in Australia, and I’m committed to providing compassionate care. My ambition with this business is to assist people in their journeys without the constraints of administrative restrictions. I want to spend meaningful time with my clients and reach out to multicultural populations who have endured great hardships in the past. Feel free to get in touch to see if we are the right fit.
